I'm not online much lately, for reasons.
One of ours, all of yours.
Alaskans - remember Schaeffer Cox and his 2-4-1 plan? To take out two people in authority (or their family) for each one of his militia who was arrested?
Yeah. That's what I keep thinking of.

Federal regs are a bit different. For SOA your book it, note it and if you couldn’t refund to the donor (because you probably don’t know who it is) you donate that $$ to a nonprofit
(Once called 20 people to figure out who had dropped $50 in cash in a blank envelope at a campaign event…)

Clinton deserves no better than D. He destroyed social programs, supported militarization of the police and was down with creating more criminals, engaged in soft union-busting with policies like NAFTA, his support of and signing of the repeal of Glass-Steagall, and he's a sleazebag.
Because we treasurers deserve all the credit, you know. ;)
He’s one of the pharmacists there
TECHNOLOGY LOVES YOU!
I can complete the form but it never lets me schedule an appointment.
And I’m usually good with gadgets. I gave up on the form and went in and here we are.
Getting my flu shot next week.
The online form is… I never get that thing to work.
I go to Fred’s West, Marshall or the other pharmacist stab me, I go on with my day.
Marshall’s eye roll when I told him I had a list of why I was unhealthy was glorious.
(No problems and I got my booster & RSV)
When surveillance companies sell their technology to the government for hundreds of thousands of dollars, the public has the right to know. www.eff.org/deeplinks/2...
That’s because you are a nation that values being considerate of others and you know that some topics are complicated, just like people.
I’ll be just as happy to have them not here and back in the Lower 48.
And now they’re talking about shipping guns via Air Cargo.
1) Are they a confirmed shipper? Because they ain’t shipping anything outside of Alaska via Alaska Air Cargo themselves if they’re not.
2) TBH, I’m always glad when people like this are leaving my state, I hope they take likeminded others
The number of people in Alaska who are outraged at the need for a passport when they cross into Canada (a foreign and sovereign nation) is boggling.
Especially considering how many of these same people have opinions on the borders of the United States.
Why yes, I am in line at the post office.
Also big shout out to @gavelalaska.bsky.social coverage. Now, more than ever, they need our support to provide this essential coverage of the #akleg

Hey gang, my Clarke Award shortlisted novel SEA OF RUST is on sale for just $1.99 this week. Got two bones? Get the book Esquire Magazine called one of the best 75 science fiction novels ever written. Quite literally one of my favorite things I've ever put to paper for less than the price of a soda!
@alaskannah.bsky.social has written an excellent and much-needed LTE. Please read and share. The Golden Rule www.newsminer.com/opinion/lett...

I leave the info for those who have died in my address book as a way to be reminded of them randomly, when it’s a nice memory. Poignant, but it’s good to be reminded of those who still bring a smile.
That being said, I think today I will finally delete the card of Nordstrom Anchorage. It’s time
Thank you!!! 53. Huh.
In the foreground is a campfire inside a metal fire pit contemplating and observing the fire is a small stuffed toy, a faded and well loved teddy bear wearing a blue T-shirt with a white stripe across the middle in the background is a very large beaver pond that one should not swim in unless one wants swimmers itch
No cat, but went out to a campsite with my small friend and divers others last weekend.
The world is a mess, who knows? I just know that when you started having books come out I was all excited for you because 1) Alaska 2) Spouse of a scientist that didn’t make me want to throw a stapler
We maybe have met in person, but eh, know you have a cheerleader in Fbx. 😃
I used to do work with Scott back in the day, but I was a student there 30+ years and 20+ years and 10+ years ago and was staff for a long long long long time.
And grew up in Anchor Point. Hello to you!
A bartender’s style bottle opener in University of Alaska Fairbanks branded colors with the words know your limits national collegiate alcohol awareness week printed on it
You can bet I’m not giving up my National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week bottle opener that is in UAF official colors but no logo is present. I’ve been giving a slow clap to whomever got this approved since they came out. Pragmatism at work - use a bottle opener to promote responsible consumption
A very rough draft of a very stylized illustration of a sled dog, with a thick white outline around it, to mimic how the image might look if it were cut out as a sticker.
OK, enough drowning myself in miserable homicidal politics on my personal bsky… I’m thinking of taking my new funky medieval sled dog illustration, and turning the individual dogs into stickers.
Whaddya think?
Three items hanging together. One is a metal with the seal of the University of Alaska that is part of an award., one is a purple and red rosette ribbon from the 2008 world science fiction convention, and the last is a rectangular badge that says “media” with the University of Alaska Fairbanks logo below it
I’m Scandinavian death cleaning and finding some things I’m not quite ready to dispose of.
But I do like the grouping of my UA medal (got an award), my WorldCon ribbon and the badge on a lanyard from the time I was designated as Media at a UAF event. I did use hashtags at the event!

When someone engages in addiction transfer activities such as going from alcoholism to ultra running it's fascinating how many are cool with the change in compulsive activity but don't follow through to address the issues that drive compulsion. Eh, gotta get that dopamine one way or another.

Let’s talk about my new game book, conceived and written by @paintingmoreorcs.bsky.social, with additional writing by me!
It’s a Bronze Age Lost World heist!
An eccentric art collector has hired the adventurers to steal a statue back from another collector who stole it from him first.
@burntumberak.bsky.social FYI
A fun day is when you say hi to @alaskatravelgram.bsky.social and enjoy his bonhomie.
He’s in Fairbanks today and he’s a genuinely nice person.
