Well I forgot to announce it officially but it's been a month since I started as lecturer at @unipotsdam.bsky.social in the Anglistik/Amerikanistik department.

That's it. I've officially handed in my thesis after more than 6 years of work. Next step will be the defense in March 😱

Had a very German teaching experience today. I was asked by my students if I could lüft.

Took me two weeks more than I wanted but I'm finally done rewriting my article! Now back to correcting my dissertation after a month-long break. Less than two months to go before handing it in 😱. But before that I'm gonna celebrate by gönning myself a day and a half of weekend 😭.

Le truc vraiment tricky avec les limites de caractères c'est que non seulement tu dois faire une économie de mot mais en plus tu dois trouver des mots courts ! C'est un autre level.

L'ironie de supprimer des phrases pour avoir moins de mots puis ensuite rajouter les nouvelles références dans la biblio et revenir au nombre de mots de départ T.T

Franchement je vais finir par devoir faire ça en mode 2-3 pages ciao

J'ai 11 000 caractères de trop sur mon article. C'est équivalent à au moins 5 pages. Je sais pas ce que j'vais faire. 💀

C'est fou comment tu peux être animé d'une énergie que tu ignorais quand il s'agit d'écrire ta thèse à temps pour une deadline, mais une fois que ça c'est passé et que tu dois rendre un article cette énergie elle est 404 not found.

Aujourd'hui je suis une formation pour déposer ma thèse, je crois que je suis celle en thèse depuis le plus longtemps😭

This morning I decided to bike from home to the FU because last week the busses were bad. Well not sure I'll ever be doing that again. The best part is how optimistic I was for the first 20 minutes of the ride, thinking I could totally do that for the whole semester. 5/10 because of the fall colors.

Now that I'm finally seeing the light at the end of the PhD tunnel it's time to be active around here again.
