I've been working on a Google Lens style screen translator (press a hotkey, have everything translated), with the view to making it into more of a language learning tool.

I just got local translation working. It's not perfect, but good to have everything working offline as a backup!

I've avoided getting into any serious mic stuff as the one thing I learned in uni is that audio is a bottomless pit that you'll never be happy with once you start looking for more than "good enough", and now it's biting me on the ass lol
