I really enjoyed yesterday’s webinar, “Mountain Lions in VT?” presented by Vermont Fish & Wildlife. It was great hearing their perspective on mountain lion reintroduction in Vermont. I’d highly recommend attending the repeat of the webinar on May 19th.

Travis Van Alstyne’s Short Film Honors Farmer Romaine Tenney With hand-drawn animation and pitch-perfect narration, the South Burlington filmmaker draws a poignant portrait of the Ascutney man who faced a stark choice.

Just reflecting on the past 365 days and how thankful I am for so much. One major thing is the outpouring of support for my short animated film, “Love of the Land”. Here’s an article that Seven Days just published.

HISTORY TIDBIT: There used to be a bounty on mountain lions here in Vermont, as they were deemed “noxious animals”. This poster (that I created for my project) displays the $20 bounty from 1895. It might not seem like a lot, but that’s over $650 in today’s money!
