Det var faktisk helt utrolig stusslige greier.

I currently have two cardiologists from Ningxia Province shadowing me for three months, on a state-sponsored visit to the UK to learn about our (often dysfunctional) healthcare system. It has been absolutely fascinating talking to them, and has reminded me what we do well in the UK >
To write a "state-of-the-art review" of diastolic dysfunction in acute and critical illness with an emphasis on SGLT2-inhibition and not mention the DEFENDER trial is quite something. #cardisky #emimcc #cccsky www.jacc.org/doi/10.1016/...
Støttes. Gjorde det samme for litt over et år siden. Satt litt langt inne av samme grunner, men uomtvistelig riktig valg!
Peace in our time..

Multiple large natural experiments have documented Shingles vaccine is linked with ~20-25% reduced risk of dementia and Alzheimer's disease. A new report today adds to that and extends the to slowing the progression of dementia @cellcellpress.bsky.social

Difficult to overstate how much blood RFK and Trump will have on their hands in the coming years.
Difficult to overstate how many innocent kids will die as a result of the people who cast votes for Trump last November.
300 implanted ILRs and well into the one-year follow-up for the last included participants.
Will one year of exercise impact arrhythmia burden in AF patients?
So happy to share our protocol paper for the NEXAF Trial: openheart.bmj.com/content/12/1... #cardiosky
Since coming back from @nmerke.bsky.social‘s great 3D-Workshop I‘ve been thinking about MR quantification - volumetric, VC, PISA - and why I haven’t been so enthusiastic about it lately. A thread…
Isn’t pediatric dental care free in Canada?
IVR has constant volume, but shape change. All parts of the ventricle relax, but the apex relaxes most, and hence is most Energy demanding, the shortening of the base is not wasted work. The reconfiguration generates apical flow, giving momentum to the subsequent early filling

Don’t know, but think you are right. Probably much lower than coronary which about 30%
A case of exactly what I mentioned in my last post. When things don’t fit, get better images with better equipment and/or more experienced people involved. #emimcc #cardiosky #echosky #pocus

Could it be because LA volume is ambiguous as increased volume is related to both ⬆️ fitness and chronically elevated filling pressures? In the first setting the LV is large with good long axis function, and normal sized w/depressed long axis function in the latter
Love this stuff!
Very interesting study comparing standard anticoagulation to Watchman atrial closure after atrial fibrillation ablation, should garner lots of discussion! Lower bleeding rates, no difference in stroke risk. #cardiosky #medsky #AHA24 www.nejm.org/doi/full/10....
Thanks for sharing 🙏 Have a look at our review on diastolic dysfunction in athletes ⬇️
Congratulations to @johnlsapp on the presentation and publication of VANISH-2.
First line VT ablation is associated with significant reduction in composite of death, VT, storm for patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy.

Long time since last update: we implanted ILR number 300 in August, and >50% have completed the 1-year trial!
Hope you are ready for hot, new data on the effects of exercise on AF burden in the not so distant future 🤓🫀 #NEXAF #afib

No diff. in serious AE
Still both places..but most of all because I want to get people over here!
Periodic reminder that liking a post is nice and appreciated, but does nothing to increase visibility in general, you need to retweet/reskeet/retoot what you want others to see.
Nice way to get into #cardiosky!
Just added member nr 100 to #cardiosky starter pack, we’re growing fast! go.bsky.app/562nfhZ
Jepp, det har f.eks. samme trend hva gjelder tidlig (før vekttap) fall i eGFR (trolig redusert glomerulært rykk) og så protektiv effekt med langsommere fall - som ved SGLT2.. om jeg ikke husker feil
#EPeeps I'm going to keep posting interesting tracings until someone replies to one!
