December 17th is International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers. We recognize the ongoing violence, stigma, and discrimination inflicted on sex workers that can increase their health risks and limit their access to HIV prevention and care, safer sex resources, and other health services.
In Waterloo Region and Guelph-Wellington, many people living with HIV are thriving. Modern medications make HIV a manageable chronic condition when stigma doesn’t stand in the way of access.
