fur tails are not industry scrap, they are sold wholesale at auctions and make their way to small Etsy shops often just popping a new keychain on.

stop treating these “tails” as just tails. They are living beings, they have/had a body, they are not physically alive but they are not an item to be owned. You co exist.

I also want to contrast this with: more of us should learn how to process our own tails and remains. It is a really really unique intense experience and very touching as a process in general.
I think honestly as a process, those are some of the strongest and most trusted bonds I have.

genuinely you can't really take any "ethical" tail/fur sellers at their word unless they are able to give you documentation from where they got that animal. if you have some big fluffy fox tail, 99% chance that thing was auctioned off by a fur farm and is NOT "fur farm scrap"
