A little bit of commentary on the world these days is what my brain demanded I deliver today. So, here it is... and then, back to work we go.
By the way, the font I used is called "Bitter." I feel like that fits here.
Slant rhyme on "shut/up"... Sorry! 😁

Phalanges reaching into the dark,
a network of interconnected dreams
and hopes
and all in-betweens,

a rooted hive of a mind not belonging,
a curtain of #mycelium,
desperate for a drop,
yearning

for a break in the dirt,
a crack in the clay,
a whisper of light—
despite crawling deeper.

I don't know what's worse - how far past inspection this little elevator is, or the amount of people Kole has to share it with.

#WIPSnips What a fool she was to even momentarily believe that she could take her mother’s offer of the facts at face value, before being given nothing but tight-lipped neutrality–she instead should have taken her tone, and the knowledge of all the previous times it had matched, as the real answer.

Theme: Old-school 90's computer window. One window shows a picture of a railroad track. An overlapping window in front is shaped like a text box. Text reads: THE PITCH. August 9th, 2009. If you asked seventeen-year-old Zach Williams whether or not he wanted to kill himself, he would say: No, of course not. Wanting to kill yourself is for other people. So why is he seriously considering the suicide pact put forward by his volatile fellow student, Parker Reid?

You should go for it! I haven’t been to one (none exist around here) and would be feeling the same way. But it’s such a great opportunity to meet other local writers, and maybe learn something new!

I’ve always preferred limited 3rd past, but I’m writing my current wip in limited 3rd present! Made my head hurt for a bit but I’m loving it now. It feels very “right” for this project, and I think that’ll be my metric for choosing tenses for future projects 🙂

Writing is easy, all you need to do is sit in front of a blank screen and then do the dishes, check your DMs, write an email, take a shower, put away the laundry, what were we talking about?
