#Glyphosate, like most #pesticides, is patented as a broad spectrum #antibiotic and used as a herbizide on our food. Imagine what happens to our gut when we eat antibiotics daily over decades. Or to #soil and #insects when we spray 2.5 kg / ha / year all over Earth?

Did you know that 30% of plastic is used just once before being discarded? A new water-based coating could change the game, making compostable packaging viable at industrial speeds without toxic solvents. How could this reshape our waste problem? 🌱

From @onelife_livedwell on IG: COVID floats in air the way a jellyfish floats in water. It’s airborne, which means the primary route of infection is inhalation of virus laden aerosol particles small enough that they can stay suspended for hours.

After France, Denmark is moving too: its Digitalisation Ministry plans to phase out Microsoft, switching to Linux and LibreOffice in the coming months. The goal is clear—reduce dependence on a handful of global tech giants and strengthen digital sovereignty.

I presented a petition at Cornwall Council this morning against the Council"s plan to resume widespread use of glyphosate, signed by 5,625 residents of Cornwall. A great many others were there to protest.

And thanks to a motion brought by our Green councillors, the plan has now been shelved!

The govt's move to decouple the price of electricity from the price of gas needs to be done right. If it’s voluntary, people’s bills may not decrease by as much as hoped. Reeves didn’t take up my invitation to send her @cmmonwealth.bsky.social's report – I’m going to send it anyway

People tell me they don’t want children because of the uncertain world, climate change and so on. Ok, I thought so as well, not anymore. Later, they go and say they’re flying to another continent for a holiday. Then there's people saying, it’s not down to individual actions...

'Hard to break the habit': Why free public transport isn't enough to shift from cars Free public transport is a popular policy, but researchers say it's not enough to convince drivers to leave the car at home.

From Australia:

"New research has found public transport fares have not been a decisive factor in pushing people to shift from car to public transport."

"Better public transport access, coverage, reliability, and travel time have a greater impact than price in changing long-term commuting habits."

Keep Britain Working review – March 2026 update

Around 300k leave workforce each year in UK due to ill health. Poor mental health and musculoskeletal problems are main causes. Yet it is these conditions that have longest NHS waiting lists and would also benefit most from public health and prevention. It’s a no brainer

Any government subsidy today has to be paid for by raising taxes or borrowing. Why should the government do either to shield consumers who can afford to pay higher prices?

I used to be that person that said "I will never ride a bus, cars are so much better" and then I traveled without a car, lived in Costa Rica without a car and realized how great public transit is.

Now I'm that person that says "I want to take the bus, I never want to drive".

Be open to change!

Runs on Aussie sunshine ☀️

No fuel stops. No price shocks. Just charge at home and drive.

This isn’t a drivetrain swap, it’s a system flip. From imported oil to rooftop energy.

Once the fleet scales, the economics break fast.

Cost always wins. #Bettrification
