William Allander and his truck after a bombing, July 1938.
William Allander was born #otd in Walsenburg, Colorado in 1909. As a young adult he worked as a miner and in construction. He joined the CPUSA in 1929. He was arrested trying to get to Spain when the vessel he was traveling on, the Joven Teresa, was intercepted by the French near Port-Vendres.
Released on this day in 1992: Blur's non-album single 'Popscene'.
