I don't know how this showed up in my suggested videos, but I'm glad it's there.

A screenshot of my Citiees: Skylines 2 city Trinity Gate showing the peninsula west of the city. A single unused rail line can be seen running up the middle of the peninsula. The harbor and industrial area is visible in the bottom right of the image.
A screenshot of my Citiees: Skylines 2 city Trinity Gate showing the peninsula west of the city, now cut off by the harbor and thus turned into an island. The harbor is expanded along the canal and transport infrastructure has been massively expanded. A high arch road bridge and a low rail drawbridge are crossing the canal, currently ending in an empty grass field.

A new canal has been dug to allow for future planned ship routes across the harbor. This cut off the peninsula west of the city, turning it into an island and creating more space for future expansions of the harbor :)

Made a tiny game in 48 hours for Ludum Dare. I guess I’m getting too old for these weekend adventures

Two panel comic. Panel 1: Godzilla emerges from the depths of the sea. Panel 2: he’s standing in middle of nowhere Ohio looking confused and unimpressed. There’s a sign by his feet that reads: WELCOME TO OHIO - Home of the
Saw a guy pretty brazenly shoplifting at CVS today. I guess this is why everything is locked up now.
I dunno I just thought he'd be sneakier about it.

bsky seems to be on the struggle bus today
If you're looking for a nice way to make quick placeholder art, my favorite method is to take public domain images (or my boyfriend), posterize them in Photoshop, and then change the color mode to index with a color palette from lospec

I noticed all the eyes on a creature tend to blink at the same time. This clip got me wondering if most animals blinks their eyes at the same time, or if any tend to alternate.

Do you have a game release to post-mortem, a cool technique, or an interesting development anecdote to share?

That was a good series! I don't watch too many thriller/mysteries but I really enjoyed it.
I feel bad whenever Richard Madden's character gets betrayed, I feel like he got enough of that with GoT.
Two panel comic. Panel 1: a digital kiosk at the entrance of a parking garage with a dispensed ticket. The screen display reads: PLEASE TAKE TICKET BELOW. Panel 2: a T-Rex is sticking its little arm out the window of its partially opened car door, trying to reach the ticket.
One of the biggest tells in thrillers where you don't know who the "bad guy" is for sure is usually casting choices. The villians usually look like bad guys.
repost if you want to repost this post
This was such a fun panel; getting to sit with actual historians was a real joy and it makes me really want to do it more often.
It's kind of interesting in the UK they say "armed police". I wonder if that's anytime they have a gun, or more like a distinction between like normal police and SWAT. In the US they just say police because pretty much every cop has a gun.
Three panel comic. Panel 1: a little grey alien is piloting a UFO over the Earth, approaching Turkey (the country). Panel 2: the alien is seated and posed for a photograph with two guys, one of them is a doctor in scrubs and a face mask giving a thumbs up. They are in front of a backdrop that says “HAIR LIFE NOW”. The alien is smiling and has marker drawings on his bald head in the shape of a hairline. Panel 3: 14 month update, the alien has a lush and full head of brown hair, he is combing through and showing off to the viewer.
I started watching the bodyguard 2018. So far so good, but the scottish accent makes it so that every time he says "ma'am" it sounds like "mom".

I haven't worked with sprite stacking at all but this looks cool.
Interesting, some new stuff for me! Thanks for the recs!
Yea I typically make video games, but I'm open to podcasts on other types of games too to see if I'm interested in the topic! Thanks for the rec!
Cool, I've never heard of this one. Thanks for the rec!
