Impaired stem cell migration and divisions in Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy revealed by live imaging Dysregulation of stem cell properties is a hallmark of many pathologies, but the dynamic behaviour of stem cells in their microenvironment during disease progression remains poorly understood. Using t...

Controlling Microparticle Aspect Ratio via Photolithography for Injectable Granular Hydrogel Formation and Cell Delivery Granular hydrogels are injectable and inherently porous biomaterials assembled through the packing of microparticles. These particles typically have a symmetric and spherical shape. However, recent st...

Hot off the press, the lab's latest work on high aspect ratio microgels for granular hydrogel formation and cell delivery is just published in ACS Biomaterials Science and Engineering (pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/...). Work co-led by undergraduate student Dean Stornello and postdoc Jun Kim.

I'm honored to receive the R35 MIRA award from the NIH. Grateful to NIGMS and the reviewers for their enthusiasm about our ideas and supporting a new PI/lab. This $1.9 million award will enable us to design biomaterial platforms to study cell-matrix interactions in the context of wound healing!
