Recently, we joined a team of researchers from Des Requins et Des Hommes in the Faroe Islands for range testing.
The trip included a three-day trip trying to catch and tag porbeagle sharks. 🦈 While no new tags were deployed, it led to some good stories. So...win!

Here's Aytaç Özgül and his team setting up their comprehensive tracking project spanning the Turkish Straits.
Known as the STRAITS Project, their setup of 25 VR2Tx and VR2W receivers will track more than 100 bluefish tagged by this team, along with several other species tagged by other projects.
We've been hard at work creating a new AI model designed to identify fish species automatically, and today we're finally able to share it with you. 👏
