Whenever I get a chance to think deeply, I am somewhat disappointed that I am not just a really complex character in a speculative fiction novel. At my age, the struggle would have ended and we would have rebuilt our society as a termite mound led by a collective committee of teachers and nurses.

I think I have received rejections or no replies from every illustration agent on earth. I'm feeling hopeless about it, which is why I made this ode to Delacroix and his famous painting of brave French people being trampled by Lady Liberty ...except it's about pancakes.
