My family’s wall mounted phone exploded when lightning struck very nearby.
There were scorch marks on the wall, and bits of phone everywhere.
Sadly, I wasn’t home to witness it

I once rescued a trapped feral kitten barehanded.
It might have been less painful, and less bloody, to put my arm in a garbage disposal and turn it on.
The kitten was fine, and I healed without any lingering scars.
I now own a pair of heavy, gauntleted, work gloves…

I’ve been on a big laker, which are 1000 feet long and 100 feet wide. That’s still smaller than the largest salt water ships

Speaking as someone who fosters feral and stray cats, when we find someone who can give kitties a safe and loving home we can go a bit overboard.

Why?
Because we’ve see the alternative and it’s horrifying.
