The Certification Officer (CO)will be the judge of whether or not Dr Jo Grady abused @ucu.org.uk resources. I know what I have seen, hopefully the CO will see through the bluster. I mean, those WhatsApp messages are clear.

Management @qmul.bsky.social lost yet another Employment Tribunal: the judge ruled it constructive unfair dismissal.

Can we please keep senior managers under control *within* QMUL? They keep using uni money for fancy lawyers & be told by judges that they can't actually do the things they do...

From 1 January 2027, the Qualifying Period for Ordinary Unfair Dismissal will fall from 2 years to 6 months as a result of the commencement of #EmploymentRightsAct2025.

This provides union reps with a serious organising opportunity in the fight against casualisation.
