...but hope to still see some of your pitches and interact with other writers!
Posts by Kathy Ravyn... currently struggling to finish draft one
Just spent a little bit of time patching together a pitch for #HopePit! It's very last minute, so I hope everything will be okay. Since this pitch event is all about hope, I made my pitch a little more focused on hope that my other ones.
I'll be posting and looking at other pitches a bit late...
I know there are so many amazing artists — even have usernames saved for later just in case! I'm just worried I won't be able to afford it haha.
The last one is definitely a struggle for me! I want my book to have a nice cover but I know I wouldn't ever make the money back for it. But I'm also not confident enough to make my own cover! I guess that's something to worry about later haha.
The story does take place in a countryside village so I'm glad I could capture that!
A pink background decorated with rainbows and dashed lines in the colors of the lesbian pride flag. The text reads, “Lesbian Visibility Week Bundle; 94 sapphic & lesbian books for $40 USD; 4/20 - 4/26; exclusively on Itch.io”
Happy #LesbianVisibilityWeek! To help celebrate the occasion, @elizamaresauthor.bsky.social organised this amazing itch bundle with 94 sapphic books for only $40!
My two books, This Is How Immortals Die and Garden of Rotten Roses, are participating!

...has given me some kind of writer's block. Add that with me being busy, and yeah...
So...
Update: I wrote maybe like 3k words or something like that in that span of time. I'd been busy and had not much motivation to write. I didn't want to write when I didn't feel like it, because then my writing just sounds bad.
I really hope I can finish this soon haha. The final stretch...
These are SO pretty!
Here are some Solarpunk or hope inspired pieces I made in the past. #Hopepit #artsky
Layer isle, an earthship house and a person overlooking the regrowth of a concreted landscape in the shadow of coorporate owers. ⛅ All in aquarelles.
Seeing lots of people say the spring plant thing, not sure why I didn't think of that, it is quite something!
Hi #hopepit , I'm Kami.
I work on my sci-fi novel 'Cloudgazer' featuring some hopeful visions of civilizations that live in tune with their planets.
And several shortstories that touch on transformative topics.
I get hope from seeing how plants overtake in spring, seeing everything green up.
Oooh, pretty! So, you're making the cover yourself?
Still working on the cover for my novel about what grows and blooms from the ashes in a post #Collapse, post "modern" civilization world... Old traditions combine with residual tech and positive human adaptation in a hope filled but dangerous odyssey

Hi #Hopepit!
I'm working on self publishing my first novel, a #hopepunk #clifi adventure across the former US with #mindfulness, #permaculture, #tarot, #survivalskills, & a little #magic
I get #hope from flowers & buds in spring, people coming together in various communities, and human innovation!
Hello, we are Tel & Duncan! We're both musicians.
Tel is a poet & artist. Duncan is a short fiction writer & photographer.
Community brings us hope, including meeting others who want to be a positive force in the world.
What brings you hope?

Oops, #HopePit is already so soon! I know I said I'd be making a new pitch, but I will probably scrap together a (very) last minute one because I've been so busy. I'll also only be online for a little bit, so not sure how many other pitches I'll be able to read.
Hope that's all okay!
#HopePit
Here's my attempt at trying to draw a very sweet and *hopeful* scene from my current project, which I'll be pitching. I'm not good by any means, but it was fun trying to capture this moment!
...I think what brings me hope is just the small joys in life which make me excited for the future, if that makes sense!
I like writing stories focusing on the characters and their internal struggles, which is basically what my current project is about!
#HopePit
Sorry, I'm late!
I've been busy and thus my pitch will be scrapped together last minute (sadly), but I'm still going to try to participate!
Anyway, I'm Kathy, currently working on draft one of my passion project. It's my first time writing a book, so I'm still a bit new to this...
Now that I realize that video game characters also count from other people's posts, I'm also going to add Tabitha here. Enjoy!
I can't say I even knew that moots meant mutuals until I figured it out just now haha. And I've gotten tagged in these a few times.
Yes, both my characters are from children's shows. No, I'm not going to apologize haha.
I already did this but thought I'd post another one, thanks for the tag!
Character I love and 5 moots to post theirs
Not tagging anyone because I'm super late, but if you haven't already done this, and are seeing this post, feel free to share yours!

The banner for The Narratess Indie Book Sale. It's for fantasy, scifi, & horror, & has ghost skull things on it (which I don't like) but also a dragon. The background is dark blue.
A green background with the cover of Named By Love (a book cover showing a human child kissing the nose of a red feather-dragon) in the center, & the following words (to show what’s featured in the story) scattered on the outside: "A selfless rescuer who may be fated to die" "Found family" "Child POV" "Hair kisses" "Almost cozy" "Living in the wilderness" "Commonplace hardships" "Emotional interaction" "Trauma from the past haunts both present & future"

Just a reminder that Named By Love is in the #NarratessIndieSale & is free most places but amazon.
If you like deeply emotional dialogue, adorable feather-dragons, & no fighting, you might want to check out my book. books2read.com/u/3nqlOo
