I'm just pretending I have something to pitch here. It's a WIP with no title yet and only one chapter (<4000 words) written so far, and I could easily end up scrapping what I have and starting from scratch. I have no timeline for completion and won't be rushed. I put #A, but I haven't really figured out a target audience, yet. But Skylar is 37, and I won't promise any sort of censoring in any of my stories, although in practice, I rarely have anything very spicy or the like. My sci-fi story, aka Skylar's story Some possible titles: 'The ALCEFS', 'Through the Cracks', 'Deals and Campaigns' • hard utopian sci-fi • if Star Trek were hard sci-fi • LGBTQ+, polyamory and disability rep • anti-capitalist, anti-authoritarian, anti-ableist message Setting: The ALCEFS (Association of Libertarian Communist Employment-Free Stations) • Solar System-based space stations • anarcho-communist • values sustainability • fully-automated and jobless • focus on human creations • liquid democracy • PostEk: sci-fi religion valuing altruism • near-utopia with a tumultuous history MC: Skylar • 37 yo special ed teacher • nonbinary • aroace • has vitiligo • PostEk Antagonists: Kye Peterson and Erron Colborne • villains at odds • individual bad actors who fell through the cracks • both ableist in opposing ways • methods: exploitive deals and propaganda campaigns, respectively • Colborne is PostEk with views conflicting Skylar's
#Hopepit: In the space stations of the ALCEFS, everything is automated and everyone gets what they need for free, without needing to work. No one is above another, and all have equal say. There are certainly no homeless people. There shouldn't be.
