“Starmer would have blocked Mandelson appointment if he knew about failed vetting, miisters say”

Was this in answer to the question “why didn’t Starmer ask if Mandelson had passed the security vetting”?

I think that way round it works really well, and helps surface stuff I’d have missed otherwise. The harder part is the other direction, as further replies and interactions aren’t all nicely threaded in one place but disjointed.

Like following this whole conversation in full is all over the place.

Cool, I’ve got some DVDs and VHS tapes, and even an HD-DVD, if you’d like to buy any?

“and will also be released on Blu-ray and DVD”

Is that still a thing? Will it be released digitally at all? So people living this decade can get it?

iPhone alert from Amazon saying: “We thought you’d like new Jeff Dunham t-shirts and hoodies”

Amazon is trolling me with this message on an almost daily basis. How do I make it stop? Who the F even is Jeff Dunham?

“He said very nice things about me”

Such a pathetic man.

This is definitely my favourite of David Tennant’s roles.

Or 21 even, as you can give a heart without giving any stars.

And each score can have a heart added or not. So there are kind of 20 different ratings you can give.

Actually, forget stars:

👍 = I liked it
🤷 = I neither liked nor disliked it
👎 = I disliked it

I’d go the other way. I feel a three star system is the sweet spot for me (and no partial star cheating).

⭐️⭐️⭐️ = I liked it
⭐️⭐️ = I neither liked nor disliked it
⭐️ = I disliked it

Or 2/1/0 is even better, as a star for dislike seems wrong.

Life’s too short to decide out of 10.

Seems too widely used and too dissimilar in meaning for that.

Jealous of the astronauts going to the moon. Not because they get to go to the moon. Just because it must be nice to not be on earth.

ElectoralCalculus currently have the Greens winning Tottenham too.

He’s also gone a bit quiet in the whole proportional representation thing. It’s a bit like he doesn’t have any real principles and is just a self-serving chancer.

"Friends" is a beloved American sitcom that aired from 1994 to 2004, following six young adults—Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe—living in New York City. The show explores their friendships, romances, careers, and personal growth over ten seasons.

I agree it’s significant though, and that they are one of our best pollsters (I always have some reservation about Find Out Now, who are most bullish about the Greens, as they seem to have appeared from nowhere).

What I also found significant was that it placed them just 2% behind Reform.

“& have been more bearish on the greens relative to the average”

Is that true? Only Find Out Now and Ashcroft seem to regularly place the Greens on higher percentages. Survation, Opinium, More in Common and others consistently show the Greens several points lower than YouGov do.

Interesting reactions to the Green’s win:

- Announce new anti-refugee legislation
- Allow US to use UK military bases in Trump’s unlawful attacks on Iran
- Slash climate aid programmes

So their response to losing a seat to the Greens is to double down on becoming more like Reform?

Argh, it’s so fucking annoying that BBC keep switching the curling to different channels during a game.

It’s especially annoying because I’m watching on iPlayer, not even an actual TV channel.

I guess, Reading Festival.

Seems weird to call it a date, but then the idea of going on a date has always seemed weird to me.

The extent to which this guy can’t cope with the reality of other people being different to him is staggering.

Introverts!

I do always feel this is partly because we start with lower expectations for Tories. Though, generally based on assuming they’ll be evil, rather than incompetent.

I won’t fantasise about a left wing leader. Surely they’ve made that impossible with everyone they’ve kicked out or driven away, and rules they’ve changed.
