I wrote conservative as in "Small-c conservative", meaning they are politically conservative policies. Like being strict on refugees, big on police, against taxing wealth and against sustainable energy policy is all right-wing conservative policy. Wearing a red tie doesn't change that.

Supporting Carney because he's not a "loose canon" is too low of a bar, in my opinion.
Canada is not a 2-party nation. We are not stuck choosing between a Conservative nut and a less nutty Conservative, like the US.
Remember during the next election: You can vote for a party with real values.

Ksi Lisims LNG Makes Federal List of โ€˜Nation-Buildingโ€™ Projects | The Tyee The prime minister sidestepped questions about US ownership and First Nations opposition at a northern BC presser.

All conservative policies... Except the nation-building.

Unfortunately, most of his named nation-building projects so far have American, Trump-supporting companies to running them. Which begs the question, which nation is he building?
They also ignore indigenous rights

100% about Carney. Don't delude yourself. Carney has passed laws giving police more surveilance power, taken away refugee rights, cut thousands of federal jobs, gutted climate policy, scrapped taxes for the rich and increased spending on US military projects.
Why wouldn't Cons join him?

The backflips Carney supporters are having to do right now is kind of hilarious.
Sorry, this is not some brilliant strategy for the greater good, this is a power grab at any cost.
Pretending it's not exactly what it looks like is just like what Trump and Kanye supporters do.

Down with Conservative Carney! Clearly he has no qualms throwing aside any and all values for power and profit.

Wondering how #Carney supporters are feeling about him gleefully accepting a pro-Trump, pro-abortion, Covid-minimizing, trucker-rally-supporting MP into his party.

Yet more evidence that our prime minister has no moral standing.

In order to keep his promise not to put boots on the ground in Iran, Trump has ordered all US soldiers in the Middle East to wear sneakers.

Thanks for this. It is the coverage I wanted.

When I saw that Tanille bested Rob, I was happily shocked! People (including me) clearly liked what she had to say, while having "The Unions" behind you doesn't mean what it used to.

Loved seeing IJV and CJPME repped in the leadership too. I'm excited!

It's not shocking that the "Scientific evidence" that Trump, Rowling & Polievre are celebrating about gender is actually garbage.
My fear is that reasonable people won't care that the info is wrong and the sources are charlatans if they confirm their biases.
Learn the history. Read this. #IOC

Israeli military suspends battalion involved in assaulting, detaining CNN crew in West Bank | CNN The Israeli militaryโ€™s top general suspended all operational activities of a reserve battalion involved in the detention and assault of a CNN team in the West Bank last week, the Israeli military said...

IDF/IOF follow their standard procedure of beating and arresting journalists only to find out that they're CNN and too well connected.

They will now be retrained to only beat/arrest/kill Arab journalists.

Good piece about settler violence too.

I joined the #NDP to support Avi, but ended up putting @votetanille.bsky.social at the top of my ballot.
I loved her priorities and her commitment to her values. The most authentic and relatable candidate by far.
Good luck Tanille! I hope your voice is loud in the new NDP! #NDP2026

Just one of the ways Canada has legalized Money Laundering for the Business Class.

Between private foundations and off-shore bank accounts, there's probably enough money to eliminate homelessness, but instead it's being used to put names on buildings and fund genocide.

C'mon Canada!

Lol, that's like saying you'd never tell someone to not read books, so therefore it's rude to encourage someone to read. Like books, travel is fulfilling, enriching, and mind expanding. It widens ones perspective.
Why fight against that?

I know. I get that. I'm just saying, save up, it's worth it.

We are on this planet for a very short time; one is doing a severe disservice to themselves by not experiencing it.

There's also Mexico, Central America, or Canada.... Canada's not that much of a culture shock but Quebec is kind of wannabe European, and BC is pretty beautiful and full of unique indigenous cultures.

Because the world is bigger than America, and interacting with cultures outside your own is crucial to understanding ones place in the wider world.
There's more to being human than being American.

I know this isn't the point, and I am firmly against any policy that further erodes ones ability to vote...
But as a Canadian, I find it SO WEIRD that 50% of Americans don't have a passport.

Weirdos.

Obviously.
Importantly, yesterday Canada proposed Bill #C-233 the #NoMoreLoopholes act so that we could know what weapons and military equipment we sell to the US.
Carney's Libs and the "opposition" party voted the law down.

For all we know, Canadian manufacturing may have helped kill those girls.
