Listen to this painting, and you’ll hear the bat fight in the background.

My daughter’s last teacher in NZ was one of those. Mrs. Jameson, a living dinosaur(and ex school principal no less) who still works today. She deals out trauma for neurodivergent kids every day by proving that repetitive movements are “Just attention seeking nonsense.”

This is decidedly terrible weather to be walking to the CBD in. Absolutely pissing down rain at an angle with deep puddles on the roads and cars driving by through them. The things I do for protests. Oh well, I made a sign so I'm going anyway.

As soon as I read “Argyle” at the top of the page, I was already in on it. Great writing Steve. Making the audience feel smart is always a good move, and you just keep piling on the rewards; by the end of the scene everyone is in on the gag, I love it.

THE GAP by Ira Glass I think it was in the time of spring 2012, when I came across David Shiyang Liu's lovely piece of work about Ira Glass. It was the most inspiring and motivating…

Whenever I meet a talented person who is frustrated because their output isn't a good as they think it should be, I want to show them this...

A Standing Ovation for Oscars Adding Stunts and Casting Awards, A Win for Unsung Movie Heroes The Oscars did a great thing by adding two new categories for stunts and casting. Could the shorts categories be removed for future telecasts?

President Zelenskyy should get a ‘Kickstarter’ going, he would have his project funded in no time. I do wonder what his reward perks would be…

You have to slow down on the steroids Steve. That beard is freakishly strong, and I’m worried that you’ll sprout a man-bun of unruly proportions.

THIS. I know an enormous array of people in the industry, at nearly all levels & esp in recent years, they've been unemployed, working multiple jobs, moving out of LA and/or living paycheck to paycheck--barely. Crews, actors, producers, writers, directors, a fair few execs--they're just getting by.
