I got progressives last summer and now I feel like I see both distance and reading worse. I probably am having trouble finding the sweet spot, but regardless, I'm still looking over my glasses to read and that's the habit I was trying to eliminate.

I'm so sorry you're dealing with that! What a pain.

That's amazing!!! It's so nice that your DIL wants to spend time with you and is willing to have you pampered in exchange.
Premier, it's time to GO.
Ah, how's that going for you? Are you enjoying it?
Free and fair elections can't be taken for granted, especially when Danielle Smith and the UCP are trying to rig the next election and steal your vote.
If you see this truck on the streets in Calgary or Edmonton, take a picture and share it online!

Good day! 🩵
Alberta's 17th Premier @rachelnotley.bsky.social published an excellent op-ed in the Globe and Mail about how the UCP is putting democracy at risk with their attempt to rig the election.
It is well worth the read:

3 UCP legislature committee members forced a vote through to deny me, the proponent of #ForeverAlberta petition, Alberta’s largest ever petition, to appear before the committee and speak on behalf of the nearly 500,000 Albertans.
This is another move to assist the separatists.

About 3 hours today on the upper left corner.
Call her and the rest of the UCP, but more importantly, talk to anyone who will listen and get them to do the same. Then get them to tell their friends and so on. This needs to reach the people who aren't paying attention.
Justice Miller predicted a court challenge if the minority report was adopted. If there is real gerrymandering (and not just adding two rural seats), there will be a court challenge, which will lead to injunction, which will lead Smith to attack unelected Trudeau judges. All of this is bad.
After more than two decades, #Alberta #Water Council prepares to shut down, citing funding cuts

Who needs a water council when we’re replacing water with selenium?

Nothing proves how capitalism has brain rotted everyone than thinking the post office, hospitals, public transit, libraries, etc. need to turn a profit to be worthwhile.
It costs $1 to mail a postcard across the country. Of course it's not profitable! That's not the damn point! The point is keeping people connected and this is especially true in rural, remote and Northern communities where for-profit courier services will *never* fill the gap.
I saw the viral video of this pup showing up by herself at daycare but I didn't know it happened in Regina.

Surely, this isn't the Alberta 'Advantage' Smith keeps mentioning.
It's time to take real action to make life more affordable for Albertans.
"... By inserting itself in a process in which it should have no part, one can’t help but wonder what ulterior motives lurk behind this subversion of the democratic process."
