A health impact analysis by #EHMLab assessing #PM25 & #NO2 levels and premature mortality in Great Britain from 2008-2018, with a focus on #WHO quality limits. Decrease in % population exposure, but still ~45% of deaths due to exceedances of #airpollution limits.

A new study by #EHMLab on heat-related risks of #hypoglycaemia in people with #Type1Diabetes. Novel #CTS design with #DLNM to study 33 million continuous glucose readings in 679 adults. Odds of hypoglycaemia increasing by 26% at 25C vs 13.

🆕 New global evidence shows heatstroke is highly heterogeneous and often under‑recognized. Our MCC study across 34 countries finds mortality ranges from <1 to nearly 6 deaths per million, with heatstroke representing only a small share of total heat‑related deaths. #heatstroke #climate

A new study from Inserm, ISGlobal), and #EHMLab at # LSHTM highlights benefits of urban #green in reducing heat-related mortality in #Paris. Trees outperform grass in protection, and 30% of excess mortality can be reduced if all districts have at least 20% of green areas.

Interesting study from #EHMLab on known Monday peak in #CVD mortality and role of #airpollution. Analysis of 260,320 myocardial infarction (AMI) deaths over 15 years in Spain found no association with #PM2.5 & #PM10. Other factors likely responsible.

New study from #EHMLab found no detectable link between #UFP (ultrafine particle) and mortality, analysing 850k+ deaths in London/W. Midlands (2003-2018).
Findings suggest risks may be context-dependent, and emphasise need for location-specific research.
