There was a super terrible life changing situation where Lola betrays (allegedly) Maria, leaves her and never sees her again. This situation left Maria wanting to find and kill Lola for what she has done out of revenge. Maria has a long ass revenge list she needs to complete and Lola, along with another name are the last two on the list. 130+ years pass, this is of them meeting each other for the first time since they were in their mid 20s. To add extra lore, Maria is part of a faction of vampires that can only be outside at night, Lola is part of the other faction where the vampires can be out during the day. These factions have been part of a war since two goddesses that had beef with each other and instead of trying to kill each other they thought it'd be cool to change a small group of humans and gave them a mega buff but they are nerfed for part of the day to balance out (this was the third goddess idea) a wip comic page of maria and its complicated gf Lola.
