A miniature die-cast car that has been modified and repainted to have the appearance of a postapocalyptic wastelander vehicle. There is a large missile chained to the roof, and jagged spikes on the front bumper. It is painted bright green, with rust showing through in several places. It rests on a brown surface with a few small rocks just visible in frame. The background is a pinkish red, suggesting a dust storm or sunset.

In between prepping for Midgard Moot and other jobs, I’m grabbing some quick shots of the Wargames Atlantic 10mm skeletons that I finished last week; very appropriate background from Jon Hodgson Backdrops (Ruins & Tunnels A3 book). #wargaming #miniatures #spreadthelard #nerdlings #jhbackdrops

I originally painted this model not long after it came out in 1997. Recently rescued it from my parents' house, repaired it and tarted it up slightly (wash, slight highlight). Also based it for Midgard.

Great model that still holds up! #oldhammer #midgard #spreadthelard

15mm sci-fi. 'Blue' platoon finished. (There's another 30 in the varnishing queue). More papercraft terrain. 'Antares' drop pods are by Dave Graffam. He does some really good stuff if you want terrain that you can't be arsed to paint.

Some hairy arsed Barbarians. Figures are Victrix and Footsore in front of a Handiworks Backdrop. Went for Decals for the shields this time. Not sure I like it. Overall I definitely prefer painting my more uniform Romans.

Probably 15-20 years to retirement? Sadly, AI can't replicate my skills, but if management believes it can, does it matter?

Time to scale up my woodworking hobby.

I wish. It's more likely AI retires me.

It is great range. The project has taken on a life of its own.

I was thinking something like Vietnam might be fun.

But then I still have about 500 AWI models to paint ....

1 month ago 1 0 1 0

It really was. Like you said: I'm going to have to try something new next year.

Congrats! The entries this year were very competitive.

There's a radio series? I never knew that.

And people say social media is a waste of time.

I love all the ones you have, particularly Brokenwood. Also really enjoyed the first season of Inspector Ellis, Ludwig and Mrs Sidhu. The plots in that last one aren't great, but the idea of an Indian auntie solving crime and cooking amazing food is great.
