(3/3) Our latest blog by our Head of Policy and Development examines the upcoming changes for employers on creating gender pay gap action plans, and explores whether or not they will lead to real, lasting impact.

(2/3) 💪 For Close the Gap and others who have long called for pay gap reporting to move beyond transparency, this marks an important moment with potential for real change.
But whether it becomes a real turning point will depend on what happens next.
🧵(1/3) Last week, before #InternationalWomensDay, the UK Gov issued new guidance on gender pay gap action plans.
From April 2026, large employers will be invited to voluntarily publish plans. By April 2027, this will be mandatory under the new Employment Rights Act.
Achieving workplace gender equality requires a collective effort from policymakers, employers, trade unions, civil society & individuals.
🤝Together we can influence policies, challenge outdated practices, & create opportunities where all women have a good working life.
