Bristol Aquarium is just the right size for little ones, but I will admit that I probably had more fun than he did.

Fortunately, I had the company of plenty of interesting manuscripts to get me through my work days. What I've been working on I started with the copy-edit of a collection of short stories inspired by famous operas. It was interesting to see how those narratives could be translated to a different medium.

The Black Cat monthly round-up: December 2025 It's stats time! This is the eighth December round-up for Black Cat Editorial Services and 2025 was the tenth year of my freelance career. My trusty spreadsheet tells me that my 2025 projects had a combined word count of 2,944,426, which is a slight increase on 2024, but the overall trend of completing around 3 million words a year seems to be holding.
