Dashed down to London yesterday for an event at RPS HQ - then sprinted across to Oxford to visit my oldest friend (since age 6!) and after nattering until the early hours of the morning, we dragged ourselves up and she gave me a tour of Oxford. ❤️ What a wonderful time.
Homeward bound 🚆
That feeling didn't disappear even when I got the hang of turning and braking 😆
Hopefully will with future lessons!
I learned to snowboard in a 7hr intro session yesterday.
Other than a suspected broken finger and feeling like I've been repeatedly smashed by a truck....I'm in good spirits 😆
Last pic at the end of the day when I had nothing left in me, except the pain of a thousand falls 🤕😆
It feels like Friday 🫠
The best time spent away with the best of friends ❤️🌞🇪🇸
They call this cocktail the "Miss Yorkshire".
Today I find myself an honorary receptionist for one of my practices - and I'm finding out all the gossip 🤣
Us too! We are celebrating tonight 🥰
My eldest stressed all week but came home last night with "what's done.....is done" and we shall be content with that! ❤️
Oh, I am thankyou!
Just reflecting on the differences in my colleagues' teams vs that which I have experienced.
Sometimes it is a bit too quiet in Yorkshire!
I've had a truly wonderful few days in London with my people. ❤️
I missed my friendly face greeting me this morning ❤️
Great to see this sign at King’s Cross has gone fully multi - lingual and is welcoming folks from Yorkshire like @laulok.bsky.social @lauraangus.pharmsky.app @hadeelmohamed.bsky.social @suealldred.bsky.social
It is - but community pharmacists will be prescribing and decision-making and the skills apply across the board.
I didn't want to narrow the field of vision when there will be all kinds of patients that they see and in time may do lots more. If we could see SMRs done in community, that'd be amazing
Sourdough isn't my cup of tea - but I'll certainly be doing another loaf or two!
We've done pizza bases now and again - haven't in a while, though I might now you mention it!
I presented "how to approach SMRs" and then we did a care home focus.
Then we worked through a series of case studies which covered CVD, mental health, thyroid disease, frailty & falls, chronic pain, migraines etc. Great day!
My first loaf 🍞
I'm absolutely exhausted today after a wonderful day spent teaching this fabulous group of community pharmacists who travelled from across Yorkshire to spend a day with me for the IP Pathfinders programme.
We got through so much with the case studies, and I loved the opportunity to get involved. ❤️
A rare moment of peace with the eldest in our favourite place ❤️📚
Throw cake in and we have a winning trip out ❤️
Quietly plodding along at the minute - not really using much by way of public social media.
In a period of reflection, I think - and trying to read more in moments of peace.
Dreaming of childhood summers spent on my bike down the woods - and the rush home before the streetlights flickered on. 😌
Alas - no 😟
Made it ❤️
Haha thankyou!
I really have no idea 🤯
The mystery chocolate sender struck again yesterday. I do wish they'd tell me who they are - I hate unsolved mysteries..!
However - I am currently sitting in Gatwick airport awaiting a ✈️ to Tromso, Norway ❤️ and so ready for it! Hope there is lots of snow!
Had the most wonderful evening in Leeds yesterday.
We had Estabulo and then went to the most delicious dessert restaurant, and I had hot cookie dough with ice cream 🤤
I haven't eaten so much food in months - I almost popped!
🤣🤣🤣
