Oh and the Orville did what neither Star Trek nor Doctor Who has done and actually say "No, genocide is not the answer and even the strawman implacable horde of programmed killbots can be reasoned with."

Let My Puppet Cum was a hardcore muppet porno film that my pervy coked-up friend insisted that we all watch. I’m not sure if I’d recommend it. I can’t remember if it was the film or the lack of sleep or other substances that made it so weeeeeeird.

That night was like a dream. I was awake for two days. The owner of the house had a huge library of VHS tapes. I watched Diva, Oh, Lucky Man, Brimstone & Treacle, Let My Puppet Cum, and Liquid Sky.

I first saw Liquid Sky at an all-night viewing party in a haunted country house after a Husker Du concert in the 1980s. It was a mind-altering night.

DIVA (Jean-Jacques Beineix, 1981) is a cool, stylish, and unapologetically French thriller.

I first saw DIVA in 1987. I’d seen Hüsker Dü at Agora Ballroom earlier that night. My friend was housesitting a haunted mansion on an unpaved road in Litchfield. The owner had a huge DVD collection. I had a snoot full of something illicit and spent the next few days watching movies and not sleeping.

THE AMERICAN FRIEND is a gorgeous & crafty neo-noir and buddy film. Dennis Hopper plays Tom Ripley as a reptilian outcast. Bruno Ganz gives a quiet and authoritative performance, deeply tinged with dignity and sadness. A series of great Noir directors make clever cameos as mob bosses and criminals.

I really appreciate his later work. It had a sadness and regret to it that was tangible. The American Friend. Out of the Blue. River's Edge. Blue Velvet. Hoosiers. He even managed to add a crazy manic gravitas to his role in Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2.

Absolutely. Hoppernis outstanding in River’s Edge and Out of the Blue, two films that get too little love. River’s Edge has a stacked cast, too. Lots of futures stars appear in it.

A split montage image of Charlotte Brontë: on the left, a vintage colorized portrait shows her seated in a dark Victorian dress with white lace collar, cuffs, and a red bow at the neck, her reddish-brown hair in a bun, holding a small brown book and gazing forward; on the right, a close-up of the title page of Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë features a black enamel pin shaped like a woman’s profile silhouette filled with birds and branches, bearing the quote “I AM NO BIRD & NO NET ENSNARES ME,” with decorative leaf illustrations below.

Not only is her recovery complete.

Soon Sienna will be heading off to her very own family.

After years on the streets and endless puppies taken from her she will get the life she always deserved!

For my own wellbeing, sometimes it's best to completely ignore harsh reality & focus exclusively on one or all of our 3 pets.

In this case it's our youngest, Trixie (a/k/a Bat-Mite, a/k/a Spawn of Satan), who I love dearly. ♥️ 🐶

Just acted as witness to the marriage of two complete strangers at the courthouse because they met me outside and “had a good feeling about [me]”. All the best to David and Veronica in their life together

I'm grateful that so many of you talk about books.

Sometimes a title sneaks past me and I don't know to order it for the library.

And then someone mentions it and I look like an awesome, book-ordering maven once again.
