Last night I read the first lettered proof of Sonic the Hedgehog X Godzilla #2 aaand... it was really good?

Took me a whole week but I finally wrapped up my latest revisions to Sonic X Godzilla #5. This certainly won't be the last round, but hopefully the last before Sega and Toho take a crack at the script! Tbh we've got ourselves a pretty amazing finale here, friends.

Man, this is reminding that I really should give Den-O a rewatch too, if only because I'm fairly sure I'd like it way more than the first time I saw it.

Like, Eagle Genome is obviously based on W, but it's not exactly W's design just slapped onto Revi. I dig it.

I know it bothered some people, but I actually really like how Revice handled its anniversary/legend Rider forms, using them as inspiration for Revi's forms rather than using past Riders as forms outright like Decade and Zi-O did.

And for the record, I like Vice (or at least I recall liking him when the show was airing), despite his voice actor. You can like a character but dislike the person playing them.

Like Ex-Aid, Revice has a top tier OP. I never get sick of liveDevil.

Because I've been liking doing a couple Rider rewatches at a time, I'm gonna keep that up and pair my Ex-Aid rewatch up with Revice, since I've been itching to go back through it lately.

Also, going forward I think I'll keep rewatch posts in their own threads, so people can mute it if they like.

Hell yeah, there we go. Snipe is far and away my favorite of the Level 2 Rider suits in Ex-Aid. I don't know if I could really say why, it just clicks with me.

As far as I'm aware, that is true. One more point for Seiji Takaiwa being awesome.

Also, fucking love this opening theme. EXCITE's in my top 5 Rider OP's, no contest.

There he is, it's my man! We're not gonna get to see his Rider form for a couple more episodes, but I'm just glad to see him at all.

I really love the little flourish of Ex-Aid blowing into the Gashat before doing the finisher. Such a neat little detail.

This show's got a special place in my heart. I got into toku partway through Ghost's airing, around episode 12, so Ex-Aid was the first Rider show I was around for the pre-release hype and got to watch from start to end as it aired.

Drive rewatch is done, so time to move on to another favorite of mine. This year marks 10 years since Kamen Rider Ex-Aid started (fuck), so I think now's a good time for a rewatch.

Goddamn, Drive is still great. I'm still upset at past me for not starting to watch Rider right when I found out about it, because if I had, I would have watched this show as it was airing.

After all he's done, Banno finally gets what he deserves. Gou, his own son, using Chase's Signal Axe, rids the world of one of the most vile humans to ever exist in Kamen Rider.

Gou using Chase's Signal Bike and going into Chaser Mach really seals the deal. The suit's just a kitbash, sure, but I just love what it represents. One last ride for Kamen Rider Chaser, alongside his friend.

What makes it even more heartbreaking and heartwarming is Gou realizing how much he cared about Chase and calling him his friend only after he's gone.

Knowing this was coming doesn't make it any easier. It actually hits me harder now than the first time I watched Drive.

This shot goes so fucking hard, man. Drive, Mach, and Chaser really are one of the all time great trios in Kamen Rider.
