Hey y’all, I am trying to raise some funds after a really exceptionally fucked up month and a half.

If you’ve helped me out before and can do so again, I only ask when I am out of options.

Literally been hiding out from some rly bad men & need some $$ to keep surviving for a bit.

$75 from my goal

I want to say a lot of early American Puritan writing like A Model of Christian Charity. And possibly Jonathan Swift (Gulliver's Travels and/or A Modest Proposal).

The Pilgrim's Progress has a ton of influence but hasn't transcended to common understanding the same way that The Divine Comedy has for example.

I just bought cookies at a street fair from someone who was so intense about how everything was allergen free that when they started explaining that some of the cookies had weed in them I really thought they were trying to warn me about gluten

📢Lights Out Alert! Tomorrow night, approximately 4.4 million birds will migrate through Oregon's skies. Help keep them safe by turning off your outside lights and drawing your blinds so they can see the stars they use to navigate to their breeding grounds.

I'm not even that much of an atheist anymore but I do find all the Catholic posting kind of off putting. Like maybe it's just ironic pearl clutching about trump being a heretic but it makes me feel like I'm reading posts written by actual babies

every day someone sends me some janky piece of shit looking ad created by a scammer using AI like "why are we running this, please stop" and then we all go back to shoving AI into every single thing we do without a second thought

idk why this is what did it today but Mohamed saying that he quit smoking when he started this campaign so that people would know the money was going towards survival and nothing else got me absolutely bawling.

I half heartedly read project hail mary on my phone for a book club last year and stopped a few chapters in to Google him because the vibes were so bad. It wasn't hidden lmao

anime, and show the traces left by the hands of everyone who worked on it.
This is an attempt to rediscover traces of emotions and thoughts that tend to fall away during the production pro-cess, traces left both by things that could be drawn and things that could not be drawn.
I am convinced that these traces are vital for us today.
The emergence of Al is taking us into an age when pictures and many other things can be generated by technology.
People are even questioning the point of drawing by hand.
Drawing is a means of accumulating thoughts. It is a form of expression that comes from your own body.
To draw is to live! In each line of a key animation resides the entirety of the person who drew it.
And behind the completed video are living people. To me, drawing is an act of resistance against something. Perhaps it is also all a jest or a moment of fun.
Please take the time to absorb this exhibition at your own pace.
I would very much like you to treat it as an opportunity to think once more about the significance of people drawing

my friend send me this from the Ghost in the Shell exhibit currently running in Tokyo, and it perfectly summarizes what i think is being lost when art is increasingly machine-generated :
