Immigration enriches our society and benefits our economy. Changing settlement rules will have financial consequences for us all - this video explains why and how. If truth matters to you when it comes to immigration pass it on.

And, for the record, this was also very obviously Trump depicting himself as a doctor. About to do a prostate exam.
I also had a lovely cat named Luna many years ago. She was white, with grey and black patches.
I've seen first hand the amazing work our Youth Clubs do across our community - so I'm really pleased the the Mayor is investing a record £30M for clubs across London.

If you think today’s decision to lift the two child benefit cap doesn’t help you, think again. Ending child poverty will in the end help us all. Here’s how.

It's both regressive and anti-enviromentalist.
Indeed, my first thought too!
She also appears rather confused, she is upset that Labour is not considering universal support (which would give it to those who do not need it. And yet she thinks that help should be there for ordinary people (which would not be the case in universal support).

This morning I spoke on the Today Programme, about the Government’s Earned Settlement proposals.
We’ve got to remember that this debate is about who has the right to belong here and contribute, it’s not about cutting migration.
It’s also about who we are as a country.

Together with @stellacreasy.bsky.social, they are doing an excellent work on this. I thank them both and any other MP who is trying to reverse this terrible policy.
I will make exception to my rule about EDMs to stand up for democracy and for refugees.
Making them fear deportation does nothing for border control, economy or their sanity.
ask other MPs sign EDM 2908 and ensure Parliament has a say on how we treat those we have already given sanctuary.
I agree. It is good that there is some willingness to take on board concerns. However, tweaks won't do and both the ILR and asylum proposals should be fundamentally different or completely binned.
If the asylum and immigration reforms are the right reforms Parliament should get a chance to debate, scrutinise and agree or stop them. That’s why I have tabled edm 2908 which is a parliamentary measure to trigger that process.
Probably the most important video I have made in a while. It explains why if you are pro European and British now is the time to speak up for a Swiss style deal for our future with the EU as something both sides could agree. Please watch to the end to understand why.

Creasy, not Creasey.
Tony Vaughan and Stella Creasey are doing great work on this! It's great that twaeks to the proposal are now considered.
As a member, however, I don't think that's enough. Both settled status and asylum proposals need to substantially change or be withdrawn.
It's good that there is a change of tack, but tweaks won't do. The changes have to be radical or the whole proposal should be just withdrawn.
“No more time wasting. Everything must be on the table.”
Watch @stellacreasy.bsky.social in Brussels make the case for a progressive and ambitious UK-EU relationship.
Reviewing refugee status every 30 months will be a bureaucratic nightmare for the Home Office, already drowning in backlogs.
The Refugee Council estimates that these reviews will cost over £1 billion to the taxpayer over the next decade.

Can't wait!
Absolutely! And neither is leaving people, who have escaped war and persecution, in a limbo for 20 years, having to reapply every 30 months.
I've written and spoken to my excellent Labour MP, whom I campaigned for, to share my feelings. Make sure you let your MP know.
