Last week, Washington State Dept. of Veterans Affairs joined NASDVA conference. Director David Puente Jr. elected Junior VP, Rudy Lopez joined Memorial Affairs Committee, and VA Secretary Doug Collins spoke on federal-state collaboration.
WDVA was honored to join Governor Bob Ferguson, State Rep. Hunter Abell, and the Veterans Legislative Coalition for the signing of HB 1541. The bill strengthens the Veterans Affairs Advisory Committee, expanding flexibility to ensure the committee reflects the diversity of WA’s Veteran community.
