I know Pride is all about visibility and joy, but I want to take a moment to also acknowledge those who aren't out. For some it's not safe. For some it's not certain. For some it's not time.

We'll be here when you are. ❤

"not proship or anti but an adult with a job lol" okay listen I don't use the labels either because I think "tastes in fiction are not inherently indicative of character" is common sense, but this little silly internet argument DOES harm people and you're dismissing it.

Just draw the fuckin thing yourself. The imperfection is part of the charm. The fact that you drew it is the whole fuckin point. Don't embarrass yourself engineering a prompt, just pick up whatever you have at hand and give it a go. Be a human being.

IF. YOU. LIKE. SOMETHING. SAY. SOMETHING.

I know so many people who are like "well I don't know what to say so I just don't" and like

_anything_

If you don't say anything, the artist will often just... stop.

Got real mad reading the news and drew this #disability

Tagging PSA: please spell out the whole word and/or most common abbreviation for kink & fetish content ‼️

Forget TikTok speak, censoring content warnings defeats the purpose: people trying to mute the phrase will end up seeing it.

I’ve seen stuff like b£00d being used instead of blood, let’s not 😭😂

Oh my god, it reminds me of that post about subtitles and how they shouldn’t be censored and someone added “unless it’s slurs, no one needs to see that!” 😅 -💜

I love being sent screenshots of people gushing about my work 🥹 (happens with commissions sometimes, it's great!)

But yes, direct feedback is so important, it does wonders for the motivation and inspiration!

@wwxwashere writes: "should ao3 have censorship?" is a stupid question, I'm sorry. Go back to school.

another user retweets and says "Ao3 SHOULD censor Proship/darkship pairings. Fics about incest, pedophilia, and grooming and all the other proshippy stuff desensitises your brain into thinking these are okay irl. The more you consume, the more okay you will think it is"

This is the exact same logic as "D&D causes demons" and "video games cause violence" and "ninjas cause violence" and "HP causes witches". What's more, and I cannot possibly stress this enough:

If this is true, then moms for liberty are right that reading about gay penguins makes kids gay. +🧵/8

I don’t think it’s necessary always a good thing, but I’m explaining why people do it.

While I don’t necessarily disagree with you(I like reading a lot of different things) I think some people find comfort in being able to predict and knowing what to expect. The same reason people like rewatching shows or eating the same food. It’s usually a comfort thing. /gen -💜

I think its fine to have art content you dont enjoy, approve of or want to see, and establishing a personal boundary is healthy

But as anti-porn and anti-art fascism continues to ramp up i think you need to weigh how publicly calling people freaks, degens, weirdos etc is feeding these attitudes

The only reason passports include sex markers AT ALL was because of a previous moral panic over gender.

stern reminder to be unapologetically weird and indulgent on your account because it’s your account and you don’t need to justify yourself to anyone

A quote from the writer AR Moxon from 2017. He wrote:

"Historians have a word for Germans who joined the Nazi party, not because they hated Jews, but out of a hope for restored patriotism, or a sense of economic anxiety, or a hope to preserve their religious values, or dislike of their opponents, or raw political opportunism, or convenience, or ignorance, or greed. That word is "Nazi." Nobody cares about their motives anymore. They joined what they joined. They lent their support and their moral approval. And, in so doing, they bound themselves to everything that came after.
Who cares any more what particular knot they used in the binding?"

No one who hasn't shared or donated to this gofundme is allowed to talk about Disco Elysium ever again.

I know! I'm poor too. I don't always eat either.

A reminder again that this site does not have an algorithm so if you want to support artists, PLEASE push that REPOST button on their art for others to see, otherwise won’t get seen and it’s the best way to support artists, to get them commissions, and just to get more people to see their work.

(Text, highlighted in yellow) No — shaving hair doesn't change its thickness, color or rate of growth.

Shaving facial or body hair gives the hair a blunt tip. The tip might feel coarse or "stubbly" for a time as it grows out. During this phase, the hair might be more noticeable and perhaps appear darker or thicker.

That’s because when you shave your cutting the hair to have a blunt end which makes it seem darker.

It’s not really thicker or darker, just a different shape. -💜
