We wrote two reviews on cell migration, published today in Nature Methods.
They provides practical guidelines how to select a cell-migration assay and how to analyze cell-migration data

Data drop! We just released an updated list of anti-ECM antibodies curated from the #HumanBioMolecularAtlasProgram Organ Mapping Antibody Panels #OMAP and the 9th release of the Human Reference Atlas #HRA. Check it out: sites.google.com/uic.edu/matr...
Grateful for the poster prize awarded by @febsopenbio.bsky.social at the #FEBS2025 congress! It was a pleasure to meet so many inspiring people and discuss some great science!

Are you looking for a postdoc?
I will be looking for 2-4 people after the summer to join the lab !!
Do not hesitate to reach out and disseminate !!
- A postdoc to work on cancer extravasation (4-year project).
- A postdoc help in completing Filopodia-related lab projects (2-year).
- Multiple Marie Curie postdoc positions that will open in the fall.
- We will open a 5-year position to cover my teaching (70% research and 30% teaching).
If you are at the FEBS Congress in Istanbul and would like to have a chat about adhesion-derived protein condensates come to see my poster today between 12:30-13:45. Looking forward to inspiring discussions! 🔬

What controls condensate composition and function beyond binding stoichiometry? We show that condensate microenvironments play a key role, and can be probed by a micropeptide killswitch in live cells. www.nature.com/articles/s41... in @nature.com with @yaotianzhang.bsky.social Denes Hnisz & team.

New paper from @ivaskalab.bsky.social out now! 🍾 Watch how cancer cell adhesion dynamics are disrupted by inhibiting the phosphatase Shp2 - key to integrin β1 phosphorylation. Blocking Shp2 impairs adhesion and reduces invasion potential. 🎥👇 Read more at: www.nature.com/articles/s41...
Latest from @ivaskalab.bsky.social @jrwconway.bsky.social in NCB. We find that SHP-2 inhibition stops TNBC invasion and limits metastasis by blocking integrin dephosphorylation!

We are often so caught up in our destination that we sometimes forget to appreciate the journey, especially the amazing people we meet on the way. Grateful to be part of this year’s GRC 2025 where I met not only some of the brightest minds, but also some of the kindest people. Arrivederci 🇮🇹
The feeling when you get back to the lab after a week at a gordon conference - totally inspired and energised after hearing incredible science and meeting amazing people. Thank you @tanentzapflab.bsky.social and @sarawickstrom.bsky.social for GRC Fibronectin, Integrins and related molecules.
Thank you! It was really nice to meet you and to get your feedback on the project! :)
Thanks to @tanentzapflab.bsky.social & @sarawickstrom.bsky.social, chairs of an excellent Fibronectin, Integrins & Related Molecules GRC & to @martina-lerche.bsky.social & @mchastney.bsky.social for chairing the GRS. We look forward to Kairbaan Hodivala-Dilke & Tom Barker's 2027 meeting!
We show that under low ahesion conditions Tensin 1 forms endogenous condensates to store inactive adhesion components. These can be released upon stress-mediated Tensin 1 phosphorylation to regulate adhesion dynamics.
Happy to share our Tensin 1 phase separation project is now on bioRxiv.
