Finally, the new front door is installed! The painter will need to come over to finish a little section of trim inside,otherwise the install is complete.

The door is two different colors for inside and out.

All of the mods have been made to the 2026 Heritage Softail in Purple Abyss.

The new Heritage Softail is tucked away in the garage, ready to go for the 2026 riding season.

We had the new Heritage suspension modified to lower it about 1", the handlebar riser pulled back a couple of inches, and changed the stock windshield to be clear (instead of the partly blacked-out one that it came with).

We'll add a driver's and passenger's backrest added soon.

We traded in my wife's 2021 Harley Street Glide for a 2026 Heritage Softail. The SG was a bit too big and heavy, had a higher center of gravity, and wasn't a good fit.

She really liked her old 2007 Heritage, and had 76,000+ miles on it when we traded it for the SG.

I finished my bottle of Poor Man’s Pappy, and since I had the components to make more stocked in the bourbon cabinets, I mixed up the next batch.

A bottle of Poor Man’s Pappy. I’d like to compare it to actual Pappy Van Winkle 15-yr bourbon one day to see how close it is.

Since I’m too cheap to overpay for an *actual* bottle of #PappyVanWinkle, tonight I’m sipping on a wheated bourbon dubbed Poor Man’s Pappy, which is a mix 40% Weller 12-yr and 60% Weller Antique 107.

I even had a vinyl label made up for the bottle. It’s a solid mix

Smacking the pork shoulder

Tearing the smoked pork apart with forks.

The pork shoulder turned out great! It spent 5 hours in the smoke, then 3 hours more wrapped in foil to finish.

I had invited the next door neighbors over for dinner, and they approved also.
