as I mentioned last month over at Techdirt, this "router ban" was always a shakedown. Brendan Carr and Donald Trump do nothing that's ever genuinely in the public interest. They've broadly undermined cybersecurity. They deserve no benefit of the doubt. Everything is transactional.
