There is a bit where it adds brackets when it does the calculation so you can see what it's actually done which I quite liked. Not sure about the - 1 I'll have to test it when I get one!

In #MathsToday I did this as a starter on estimation.

With the aim of getting pupils to consider which counters are the 'significant' ones.

We started polar coordinates today in online further maths. I gave them 5 mins with desmos and a few pointers and they came up with some amazing polar curves. None of them had heard the word cardiod before though 🤯🤷

The amsp used to do them but not sure if they still do now their funding was cut. It might be worth contacting them. They had contacts that did them too so they might be able to point you in the right direction.
