Thanks, I was lucky today, the sun and the birds were cooperating nicely. You don't see the hundreds of shots where the camera focuses on anything but the bird, or where the bird flies off just add you press the shutter 🫣

I'm lucky in that there's usually a family of them close to where I live. It's the first time seeing them this year, I'm glad they're back.

Didn't get it finished in time for launch as I'd planned as I kind of gave up on it. It's a fine kit but the size meant it just got away from me. Plus at 70cm tall I have no idea where I'm going to keep it 🫣 #HistScaleModels

For me, it's still the best alternative to the other place but it doesn't yet compare to the just for fun community, it was hard to leave that behind. I also post less since finding my local IPMS group at Telford last year. We get to talk shit in person rather than online.

Fantastic job, hope mine ends up as good as this.

That's right, I didn't notice until you pointed it out.

So far so good, pretty sure the matt varnish helped with no paint lifting and seepage under the masking tape. #HistScaleModels

Second colour on. Turns out the glossy yellow X3 is a lot more durable than the flat red XF7 which is going to need a protective coat before applying the black #HistScaleModels

I'm currently building my first F104 which I think is a variant of your kit, for a group build. Slightly different camo scheme to yours 😎

Luckily the boosters hide the seams of the core stage so I'm not spending too much time cleaning them up. Normally I'm impatient when it comes to rocket launches but the longer the real thing delays the more time I get to finish this 😁

Airfix Artemis build update, you can tell it's one of their new kits as it is going together like a dream, an almost Lego like fit. The core stage is primed, next up boosters to prime and the upper stage to complete (1:72 bf109 for scale) #HistScaleModels

Many mistakes were made and lessons learned but I'm happy with how the SBD-5 turned out #HistScaleModels , now on to #BuildTheStash

I almost always build out of the box, my one exception was to buy 3rd party rotor restraints so I could keep my Lynx both compact and sturdy. Good luck with the build 👍

We have colour, time for some gloss so I can get the decals on #HistScaleModels
