Attended the Queens UFT Parent Conference this morning and was proud to lift up the power of parent engagement and our historic investments in schools across our borough. Without their advocacy the success of our schools wouldn’t be possible.

According to Richards, funds will be spread among 59 schools across the borough for the 2026 fiscal year. He said $3.45 has been allocated to projects at P.S. 136 including upgrades to its playground, auditorium and gymnasium.

In 2023, 463 Queens residents died from an opioid overdose. At the ceremony, they were represented individually w/ purple ribbons.
