I knew one of the tracks sounded familiar and it was - it's the same melody as one of the tracks from 3D Body Adventure for DOS (Digestive System Reference) www.youtube.com/watch?v=taJt...

Similar thing happened at a hardware store parking lot once - guy had a Vegeta shirt and uncharacteristically for me in public I waved and said "cool shirt" and was met with only awkwardness lol
Lol just kidding I still don't have online spoons for anything but looking at things (this happens when I'm away too long). Happy cool anniversaries of two of the most important franchises to me this month, they mean more to me than I have it in me to express on the internet rn.
I have a Pokemon backpack full of all the stuff I was able to nab, though, and I meant to document it before but I'll try to do some tonight and post it
Even my mom got into Pokemon back in the day in a way. Her fave is Togepi, and when I visited last year she refused to part with the Pikachu plushies my brother and I had legendary adventures with - they were the leaders of a "PokeClub" we made with many other toys.
Was influenced to learn web and graphic stuff from folks there, too. A lot of the skills I'm lucky I bothered to start gaining so long ago were because of Pokemon fans.
Got into pixel art ~20 years ago because of Pokemon and the pixel art community in PokeCommunity forums, which was the aforementioned earliest forum I joined and longest I stuck with
Kinda fell off the wagon a while back since I haven't played a new game since Sun/Moon and haven't touched Go in over a year but Pokemon is seriously top 3 of media that affected my life
Fuck it this is a thread for Pokemon thoughts too
Today's archival animation post is this little Fuecoco! I sure did a lot of things in 2022 lol

Let's see how badly it mangles pixel animation lol (also IDK if any of the alt text I'm putting in these is visible anywhere??)

Gonna repost my Pokemon stuff for today (and dig out more after work), I got my gen 1 socks on and my 20th anniversary shirt lol. Pokemon is one of the big ones for me, literally got Red at age 10, and my earliest online community was Pokemon.
Wildlife crossings are BADLY needed in this stupid country, and this is one of my pet issues in general so while you're bugging your reps about everything else, mention this one too!
I just wrote a @theactionnetwork.bsky.social letter: Support Wildlife Road Crossings to Save Imperiled Species. Write one here: actionnetwork.org/letters/supp...
So many things I like are from the mid-80s or mid-90s so there have been a lot of 30th or 40th anniversaries lately lol (insert Master Shake 30 or 40 years old joke)
Photo of the back of my right hand showing my Triforce of Wisdom tattoo
Don't have any art to post for Zelda's 40th because I didn't realize it in time, but hey here's a tattoo I got last December!
I work at @rockinstickers.com! We make really high quality vinyl stickers (I make my personal stickers in-house myself). DM me and I can send you a sample pack, and if you do order you can use my code BIRB20 for $20 off!

30th Threshold Day is as good an excuse as any to at least make some progress on my pepperoni cat bed (an unfinished project from almost 19 years ago lmao)
Trunks cutting an ice cube
I was hoping someone would utilize a Frieza death for this!
I work at Rockin' Stickers! We're a small business in the PNW and our stickers and our little crew are amazing (I print my own stickers in-house, too)! I love us so much, please consider ordering your stickers from Rockin' Stickers! π
I work at Rockin' Stickers in Eugene!
It was yesterday but you know I gotta be fashionably late lol.

A digital painting of a white stag in a stylized mossy forest.
A digital painting of a coppery dragon with green patina, swooping in front of clouds with a rocky barren landscape.
A digital painting of a werewolf biting the sun out of the sky.
A gouache painting of a blue-and-purple tiger dragon, crouched in a glowing swamp and snarling at something unseen.
HELLO #PortfolioDay - I'm Arlen, and I want to paint your dragons (and animal people)! I'm a full-time #fantasy artist working digitally and traditionally; keep me in mind for your book covers, TTRPG art, or spot illos!

I love pretty scenery and accurately depicting animals in their enviroments!!! :P
Two 3d printed Diictodon skulls. Diictodon was a prehistoric creature with a turtle-like beak, and some (presumably males) had prominent upper tusks. The skull on the left is white, facing left-ish, and non-tusked. The skull on the right is tan, tusked, and facing front/right. Watermark reads: Blue Appaloosa
Two 3d printed Eothyris skulls. Eothyris was a smallish, lizard-like creature with a rounded snout and two upper fangs. The skull on the left is white and has the mouth propped open with a US penny. The skull on the right is tan, with a closed mouth. Watermark reads: Blue Appaloosa
Two 3d printed hairy stone crab designs. The crab is dark brown with a rough texture, tan joints, silver eyes, and blue antenna. The crab on the right has a 1-inch keyring through the abdomen. A US penny is between them.
A 3d printed model for demonstrating the cranial kinesis (movement) of a shark skull, with different parts in different colors.
