Can anybody shed some light on why Figma defaults to a specific folder on my hard drive when picking a new Fill image? For some reason it always defaults to a folder I never use.

Not sure, but I think Google might want me to use Gemini.
Women, in your use of AI have you noticed a digital “Matilda effect”?… When you use AI, people assume it did the thinking. When a man uses it, he’s credited with the strategic intelligence to deploy it well. What say you?
Millennial here. I can spot AI images without even trying. They're always overly smooth with too much tonal contrast. Same for video.
If we're living in a simulation, I'd like a word with engineering.
Ads in ChatGPT... search is becoming AI and AI is becoming search.
"Any plan you come up with today will mean nothing when the future arrives. You will decide then, in the future, what to do." I'm not sure who said the originally, but it makes a lot of sense. #quote
I'm glad to be on the right side of that figure!

For anyone navigating the complexities of modern design-to-dev workflows, read this. It’s one of the most accessible guides I’ve seen on the subject. Essential reading for every designer right now. www.linkedin.com/posts/hugojs...

Today, for no particular reason, I checked my spam folder.
There was an urgent message sitting there.
Sent yesterday.
From them.

As someone who has built many a side project, the biggest advice I could offer (as you mentioned) is keeping them small. Try to understand how long you usually stay engaged and aim for a project you can complete in that window. 2-4 weeks works well for me. By the time you get tired, it's done!
Celebrating 15 years of freelancing full-time this month. Somehow I’m still here. Congrats to me! 🥳
👐🏾 incredible.
When you post photos daily are they from your historical portfolio of work, or are you out there hitting the streets every day?
I gave Gemini a complex homepage layout and it returned a functional build as good as what we used to expect after tossing design files over the wall back in the day. SMH.
I swore that was Crash Bandicoot at first glance.
A morning thought about the industry. #productdesign #ux #ui
🤣 This is akin to interface buttons without labels... "slide" would do the trick.
Most interesting read this week so far... Chatbot created, Chatbot answered, and “AI” interpreted survey responses are becoming a thing. www.fastcompany.com/91467125/dig...

If you’re a hybrid who builds what they design, bookmark this job site. It’s (unsurprisingly) a beautiful experience too: designengineer.io #job #career
Obligatory New Year’s post, 🎉. Proceed accordingly.
