I listened to Absolutely Free yesterday. Still hits.
As usual, Wiener’s Circle with the trenchant news analysis.
Rape makes me sick, no matter who does it. Gallego is a shitlib who complained the Democratic Party doesn’t have enough “hot women.” Democrats and Republicans are corrupt. The whole system needs to be destroyed. The good news is that Tony Gonzalez (R) stepped down today, as well, so be happy.
This is the same asshole who complained Democratic women weren’t “hot enough.” At the very least, he’s a sexist, same as Swalwell.
So Swalwell is out of Congress. I find it disgusting how many people calling themselves Democrats (especially women) tried to cast doubt and blame on his accusers. Rapists are ok as long as they’re Democrats, apparently. Or maybe they think rape is fine as long as the victims are of age.
Could she just fucking not? Democrats have enough loser sinking the party.
I’m only about 25 pages in, but I already cringing about the childhood abuse Fatty suffered. Stahl’s fictional account is a very interesting twist on memoir. Fatty’s assistant is basically forcing Fatty to tell his story by withholding the heroin Fatty is addicted to. Crazy stuff indeed.
I, Fatty by Jerry Stahl.
Thanks! I have plenty of that.

A bowl of chili topped with green onions and a dollop of sour cream.
Another one of my clients is fleeing the country and he generously dumped the contents of his refrigerator into mine, allowing me to make this chili. It’s a little waterier than I prefer, but I wanted to use the last of the beef stock I had. Chili soup is still damn delicious!
I’m not into sci-fi, but when that series originally came out, my teenage self was riveted. Diana was such a great love to hate character.
My first thought was “Those aren’t Buffalo wings.” Then, I saw the second picture and realized what happened.
Beaker!
Sounds like you have some issues you need to work on.
My goodness, you’re dense.
I find them hilarious in that they are supposedly in the district, yet have no idea how politics works here. We aren’t just gerrymandered in favor of Dems, we are heavily gerrymandered in favor of Dems. The GOP dude has such a small sliver of a chance at winning.
Chill, dude. Mediocre white man is in no danger of losing. Kat doesn’t need to shill for him or the party that did nothing to support her.
My dreams is no kings, no cops.
It is! I’m always amazed at how delicious simple dishes can be. It’s also easily adaptable. I’ve made it using tortellini and penne, as well as whatever veggies I have on hand, but this version is my favorite.
I like a pasta salad in the spring. Macaroni, sliced carrots, green onions, capers, garbanzos and a dressing made with olive oil, lemon juice and basil. I top the whole thing with Parmesan and some salt and pepper.
Good for you! I had to do the same thing for the same reason, though it took me less than 20 years. I also instituted a cancellation fee after that.
I don’t have internet, so I only got to phone bank a few times. My main contributions were donating money and goods to her mutual aid hub, collecting petition signatures, canvassing, delivering campaign signs and talking her up amongst my friends, neighbors and clients.
You sit around and do nothing, yet you’re also getting paid. No wonder you don’t want to abolish ICE.
When you have to resort to insults, you are showing you have nothing no substance. You are the uninformed one. Once again, learn how gerrymandering works in Illinois. I’ll be generous and give the GOP candidate a one percent chance of winning. The DINO will win with very little effort.
You obviously need to learn about Illinois politics. She doesn’t need to endorse Zionist corporate Dems. They already have the seat thanks to gerrymandering. The election is a mere formality. Selling out your principles and doubling down on electing DINOs is not how you defeat fascism.
Proposing small measures that don’t do more than marginally improve things for vulnerable populations while working for their corporate donors and enriching themselves in the process; you know, like Schakowsky did. Why do you think she endorsed him?
No reason to; the district is heavily gerrymandered in the Dems favor. Biss already has the seat in his very white mediocre man pocket. You can expect more Dem half-stepping from this seat.
