This is true. Sad but true.
Hojicha is roasted green tea that has a very coffee like vibe. I had to stop drinking coffee and it’s got the best “coffee” vibe however it is vary low in caffeine. Matcha lattes have been my go-to for caffeine - much easier on the stomach and delicious. Definitely not coffee like, though.
Just realized this year marks a decade since Dan Kois and I put out the Black Film Canon, an entry point to filmmaking history, and three years since we updated it. Love to see it's still be used as a reference point for movie enthusiasts!
