I wear my @flomask.bsky.social constantly in one of Vancouver's two largest hospitals, where I'm blessed to receive physio: right across the hall from Department of Surgery.
Save for operating suite areas, I see almost no one save a few patients/staff masking (including my MD colleagues).
Tragic.

this is a @flomask.bsky.social :) I use it for all major travel and conventions. I typically swap in an Ausair Airweave in less dense indoor situations, which I also highly recommend (tho the Flo definitely has a better seal for me personally, but ymmv)

A good fit can be hard for children, we tried trident once, they might work out better for slightly older children so never used, comfort and seal was the issue.
But @flomask.bsky.social has excellent fit and comfort (even for a 4y old) and has replaceable filters.

I always wear my elastomeric @flomask.bsky.social.
Save for invasive procedures, where effective (nonsurgical) masking is fairly good, most all other clinicians wear surgical/no mask.
I never mention masking.
Yet staff mask #s increase when I must stay.

I started wearing a @flomask.bsky.social when I was trying to keep my late wife safe while we fought stage 4 small cell lung cancer.
I've continued wearing it in crowded situations and on public transit…and I have not had a cold or flu since, let alone a symptomatic case of covid.

If I have to see a dr-whether in office or at the hospital-I wear my maximum protection. 1/4 face elastomeric (Flomask)-you have to ask staff and doctors to wear a mask-as if one can pretend a virus away-Covid is still a thing-& flu looks like it could be bad this year-ordered Flu A+B and C19 tests.

Some take tablets and water, some take water, salt, and vinegar. I prefer the non-tablet kind because I don’t want to run out like in early COVID when disinfectants were difficult to get. Vinegar and salt are two things I always have.

I haven't said it in a while but Flo-mask is the most robust, comfortable, performant respirator I've ever tried. Protected me through 4 hospital stays. Good company, good people too.
They don't pay me. They don't know me. But I couldn't go out in public without them.
