This article by @sasha98.bsky.social is a great example of high quality journalism produced by a well-informed, professional & intelligent human journalist, as opposed to AI &/or ill-informed mainstream media hacks with agendas.

IMO AI has lots of A & not much I.

I prefer my journalism with HI.

The historically pivotal court case, that is critical to the future UK Trans+ rights Tracing Trans+ workers rights back to an unlikely Cornish case, which set out how Trans+ people can be discriminated against based on sex

In 1996, a trans woman won a crucial legal right for Trans+ people in the workplace.

What went wrong? @ludovicparsons.bsky.social traces the history in the final edition of Milestones 🏳️‍⚧️

A raft of ‘gender critical’ employment tribunals, growing confusion for employers, and court rulings that have made Trans+ rights even less clear.

How did we get here?

Tomorrow, @ludovicparsons.bsky.social traces the history.

“Deception as to sex” has the same impact as a Trans+ Panic clause – and has embedded transphobia into the law

How UK media has wrongly shaped knowledge about the UK’s most important Trans+ legal cases From outing Trans+ women to minimising legal successes, inflating “gender critical” power, the media has been failing in its responsibility to report fairly for decades

With a wave of “gender critical” cases against Trans+ rights in recent years has received extensive coverage.

But this comprehensive – though not especially accurate – coverage is not consistent: pro-trans cases are almost never covered to the same extent.

Efforts to narrow the definition of womanhood, police people’s gender expression, and reduce people to their biology don't protect women - they harm us.

Attacks on trans rights should never be done in our name. We must stand in solidarity with our trans siblings.

Trans people of all ages exist, and always have.* They have every right to thrive in life just as their cisgender friends, family members, and colleagues do. Providing healthcare is part of that.

Trans people are so often excluded from decisions made about them. I am concerned the puberty blockers trial has been paused not for clinical reasons, nor because govt listened to trans people's constructive concerns about how it will be run, but as a political decision...
