Our new paper looking at the impacts of ash dieback and deer grazing upon woodland vegetation is now out!

We found that ash dieback and deer grazing interacted in their impacts upon flora diversity and tree regeneration - and that key species such as bramble mediated a lot of these effects

I think the datasets contained in BioTIME explicitly capture trends over time. Whereas pulling trends out of GBIF data can be tricky. GBIF data standards could probably represent BioTIME-like data but it's probably more accessible in a dedicated trend database.

I only have a limited knowledge of music notation but I find that figure quite confused. Especially the dark blue bird that can only communicate in treble clefs.

I also found it really helpful. I have the audio book and I'm listening to it a second time listening to a chapter daily-ish. Lots of good bits but I love the bit about "what if it was easy?"

I certainly enjoyed the novelty of being able to sign up with a nice short username! Interested to see how it develops (both professionally and personally). I downloaded Wylder (www.getwylder.co.uk) a while back but didn't particularly grab me.

The digital twin label is applied quite liberally, sometimes it's helpful, sometimes it's actively confusing.

Here's the paper riojournal.com/article/1254... and app app.biodt.eu/app/biodtshiny . Digital twinning for me is the journey towards interactive operational models (often process based), data integration, scenario testing and feedback loops. BioDT aims to prototype and research, not just build.
