📢 Despite some progress, gender visibility remains imbalanced across National Olympic Committees. This highlights the importance of women in sports and the need for more equitable representation, particularly in digital spaces where visibility drives recognition, engagement, and opportunity.
Together with my colleagues Jerónimo García-Fernández and Mário Coelho Teixeira, we examined how National Olympic Committees portray male and female athletes on social media, and how audiences respond.
