Alaska House lawmakers begin hearings on high-priority pension bill Returning the state's workforce to a pension plan was a major campaign issue for the largely Democratic House and Senate coalition majorities.

Hearings began this week on HB 78. This bill aims to improve worker retention by replacing the current system with a shared-risk pension plan. This bill will help retain experienced educators in AK. We will be carefully tracking HB 78 throughout the session, stay tuned for updates. #AKLEG
