I'll be setting off for Ynys Môn in a bit and can't wait to hit that section on the A55! I love the drive to the island

I definitely could be fitter, haha. I went up the easy path too, but it was still quite steep in places. The views are amazing. I can see some other distant hills and mountains looking towards the Lake District in other photos. I need to try identify them.
A distant view of Liverpool city centre. The foreground is green countryside while the buildings of Liverpool sit behind. They appear small due to the large distance.
When I was looking through my photos from the top of Moel Siabod I spotted something familiar. This is Liverpool city centre from ~72km (~45 miles) away. It's not the clearest pic but hopefully you can make it out.

A selfie of a man at the top of a mountain with another mountain in the background. The sky is blue with fluffy white clouds.
The trig point at the summit of Moel Siabod. It is a stone colum approximately 1.2 tall.
A wide shot of a mountains. The sky is filled with fluffy white clouds with blue showing through.
This time last week I was climbing a mountain and taking selfies. I don't do either often at all! I loved my walk up Moel Siabod in Eryri.

I'd like to try one day but only when I'm confident that I'm properly ready. I'll go with someone a lot more experienced, too!
I love this little street. I wish there were a lot more like it in the city centre.
That looks lovely. I'll have to visit
I don't really have any experience with climbing mountains like it so I'd need to work up to it to give it the respect it deserves. It's something to work up to though!
A stone path leads up from the bottom of the picture up to a rocky fan shaped mountain with dark grey clouds behind. There are small patches of blue sky showing through in places. The grasses have taken on the more yellow colour of autumn.

The magnificent Tryfan in autumn. I love this mountain. There's just something special about the shape and ruggedness. I'd love to climb it one day 📷

It's mind boggling. The recent proposals for the site were dire, however, so I hope something better is brought forward eventually.
An zoomed image of Liverpool's football stadium seen from an elevated viewpoint over 2 miles away (~3.8 km). The image has been heavily edited to darken the foreground and background. The stadium has been selectively lightened to make it stand out.

A view down a green, Welsh valley on an autumn afternoon. The colours are warm with high contrast clouds in the sky. A lake is visible in the middle of the picture.

Great shot! You really do have to lean back to get a good view. I might lie down next time, haha

Yeah, I think it is! This was the wider shot I posted earlier and a simulated view from South Stack on Anglesey where I took the pic

That's lovely. I've been visiting the island since I was a kid. Over 30 years now, and I still love it.
I do something similar as I'm driving in down the road towards Moelfre 😆
I did get those two, haha. Time to learn some more Welsh astronomy terms, I think!
Great pics in a stunning setting!
I'm also slightly embarrassed for not connecting the Welsh names of the days of the week to the planets sooner. I mean, I picked up on dydd Sadwrn, but that's pretty obvious.
When i'm on Anglesey, I like to walk to Lligwy beach and use the MarineTraffic app to see where all the ships waiting to go into Liverpool have come from 😁
Wow, thats cool! You've processed them very well, which is a skill in itself.
I'm in a similar situation, small scope, light pollution, and bright summer nights, haha. Still, it'll be nice to give it another try.
I'm sure you'll get back into it quickly. I never got anything as good as what you did. The pictures in your pinned post are stunning!
I've just started a similar process. It's been a couple of years since I last tried, but I've got the urge again!
Not sure how you'd express that in a Marge potato meme, but I'd love to see someone try!
A new football stadium that has been built next to the River Mersey in Liverpool. The stadium is large in the centre of the frame. There are other buildings and trees in the foreground. The river and the Wirral are visible behind the stadium as is the orange sky of sunset.

A panoramic view across a section of a city showing a cluster of tall buildings. The scene is misty which adds a hazy quality to the buildings. The sky behind the buildings is a warm yellow/orange of sunset.

An image showing hazy distant mountains above the horizon and blue sea.
That's a great photo. I think I actually caught this mountain from across the Irish Sea on Anglesey in October! It's to the very right in this pic.
A sunset view across a beach at the mouth of a river over to the land on the other side. The sky is coloured with warm oranges, pinks with some dark clouds warmly lit below.
It's been a few months since I had the camera out so it was nice to be treated to such a lovely sunset at West Kirby just before New Year 📷

A sunset view looking out across the sea with warm coloured clouds contrasted with dark clouds. A hazy distant mountain range is visible on the horizon.
Hmm, the previous version looks a bit dark now that I've looked at it again. Is this any better?
